How we build guides

Roundups shortlist products that ship to typical buyers and document clear specs. Each pick gets a short summary plus Pros and Cons drawn from manufacturer documentation and common owner-review themes. We do not invent hands-on testing we have not done.

• Coat-first. Curly and wavy coats need different brushes, shampoos, and clipper setups than short-haired breeds — we say so when it matters.
• Honest sourcing. When a claim comes from a label, ingredient list, or aggregated owner reviews, we say so in plain language.
• No fake testing. We never write “we tested” or “our Doodle loved it” unless a product is flagged as tested in our records.
• Product links. Guides include outbound product links so you can open the listing yourself. Editorial ranking is not sold as a placement.
